A SNOW ISLAND COVER ART SNEAK PEEK!
Reposting Jeffrey Hayes:
Today’s WIP Wednesday features a section of the cover for BEN Book’s “Snow Island,” by author Bobby Nash. Much of the adventure takes place on and around—SPOILER ALERT—an island. This part of the illustration will occupy the upper portion of the overall cover and will be positioned behind the ever-present image of Abraham Snow, which is why there is less detail on the right side of the island. Here, you can see stock art inspiration and color references, as well as 3D model assets used to populate the island’s community compound. Admittedly, these final 3D assets are so small that they are barely recognizable in the final art, but that is not their main purpose. They are primarily used to generate shape and color to communicate the scene rather than to precisely depict it. “Snow Island” is scheduled for release later this year. Enjoy and have a great week!

PLAN YOUR NEXT VACATION IN SOMMERSVILLE! PERFECT FOR BEACH READING!
When making your summer reading plans, consider a pit stop in Sommersville.
Sommersville, Georgia. It's a sleepy little hamlet. Relaxing farmland, scenic country roads, a world-class state park, and... oh, yeah, murder and mayhem.
We first meet Sommersville in the novel, EVIL WAYS, and then return in the novels DEADLY GAMES! and EVIL INTENT. The SNOW series and TOM MYERS mystery series also call Sommersville home. More to come.
