I've often said that Snow is my love letter to old p.i./detective shows of the 70's and 80's. Snow island gives us a two-fer. First, a trip to Hawaii, a staple of 70's and 80's fare. Also, this one could conceivably be considered a backdoor pilot. If the Brooks Brothers are well received, who knows, perhaps they'll get their own book. Not unusual for Bobby Nash and BEN Books. "A great high octane book! Snow is trying to find the guy who shot him and put him in retirement. His ex partner, who is now a PI, is in town to talk to him but has a small job he is on that goes bad. Snow, along with friends and family, jump in to help find a college student who is kidnapped and to see if they can settle a decades old grudge. All the characters are well developed, which is usual in a Nash written book. It's just a fun, high octane tale.Highly recommended, really need to read the rest of the Snow books."
